So Brewfest is upon us, and for some of you (?) that means one thing…
Violet Proto-Drake time….
Its taken a long time, and there have been moments when things have been bit touch and go – in-fact we all remember the Valentines day holiday farce with the stupid sweets in the bag….grrr!!
Things have still been a little slow recently in WoW, our 25-man team has suffered due to holidays, but I think things are back to normal this week – so posts here will be more frequent soon enough – Just don’t have much to write about at the moment.
Anyway Just a short post to pat myself on the back for getting my mount!

Hey guys! Just wanted to talk about a few things that I’ve done lately.
I’ve completed all the cooking achievements – well there’s one left – the 100 cooking tokens one.
I managed to scour the face of Azeroth in search of the last 13 recipes I needed for the 160 recipes achievement, and managed to get them all without having to get the chimera chops or the Thistle Tea recipe.
If anyone is interested I could list what recipes I have. Maybe I’ll make a post about it!
I’ve kinda not got the will to level my alts at the moment. Which kinda defeats the object of me being on a raiding break – this has not been helped by having computer problems.
I bought a new case and a new heatsink/fan for the cpu and tidied the cables to promote air flow in the case – just need to buy an additional 120mm case fan and I’m set. Got a lot of things to try out tonight in the hunt to work out what the problem is that’s causing the crashing.
I hope I can get it fixed soon – thankfully it only seems to crash the PC when I’m travelling around Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor and not in Northrend at all.

Hey guys! I hope you’re enjoying the Lunar Festival!
Well as you can probably guess from the title I’ve managed to get another 2 titles to add to my collection!
Lets start with my thoughts on the Lunar Festival Achievements.
All of them are very easy provided 2 things;
1 – You’re level 80
2 – You can get a group to kill 1 boss in a heroic.
The running around seeing all the elders really couldn’t be easier – just time consuming.
As for the opposite factions city elders – I’d suggest you either go very early in the morning, or with a large group. Thankfully even though I did mine at like 11am on Saturday we didn’t meet any resistance at all and were able to get in and out – no problem.
Other than going to the other factions cities there are no Battleground achievements this holiday(unless you count going to the elder in Wintergrasp)
Most of the instance elders can be solo’d easily by a level 80. I did the majority of the instances with a Mage guildie (Hi Umari!)
So come Saturday afternoon I was Elder Firelight!
So that brings me to the Cooking Title: Chef
Like everyone else who wanted this title we were waiting for the extra recipes to come with the patch.
Then it was just a case of getting the last 8 points to get me to 450. This was expensive – thankfully I was able to get a couple of guildies who had spare fish for me.
All in all a pretty successful weekend when it came down to it.
Aside from my computer problems – I’m really at a loss now – when I run WoW in windowed mode the game will randomly restart my pc in certain places in what appears to be Kalimdor.
I re-installed WoW – that didn’t work.
I re-installed Vista – that didn’t work.
I updated all my drivers and that seems to work OK but I’ve been running the game in full screen mode. I wouldn’t mind if the PC was old – but the kit is only 2 months – well not even that.
Lets see what happens, but I’m slowly starting to loose my rag!! Gaaahh!!!
Oh and before I forget I listened to the WoW Insider podcast over the weekend live and was in the chat and Mike Schramm gave me a mention on air!!

Hey Dudes! Its been quiet on the WoW front these past few days so just been working on getting rep for that elusive Achievement: 40 Factions to Exalted.
Currently I’m sitting on 31 Factions to Exalted:
Alliance: – Darnassus, Exodar, Gnomeregan Exiles, Ironforge, and Stormwind.
Alliance Forces: – Stormpike Guard (Alterac Valley)
Alliance Vanguard: – Valiance Expedition
Classic: – Argent Dawn, Cenarion Circle and Wintersaber Trainers.
Shattrath City: – Lower City, Sha’tari Skyguard, Shattered Sun Offensive, The Aldor, and The Sha’tar.
The Burning Crusade: – Ashtongue Deathsworn, Cenarion Expedition, Honor Hold, Keepers of Time, Kurenai, Netherwing, Orgri’la, Sporregar, The Consortium, The Scale of the Sands, and The Violet Eye.
Wrath of the Lich King: – Argent Crusade, Kirin Tor, Knights of the Ebon Blade, The Sons of Hodir and The Wyrmrest Accord.
So I got 9 Factions I need to get to exalted.
Factions at Revered:
The Kalu’ak – 20206/21000 – Will get this tomorrow.
The Oracles – 6232/21000 – 8 Days of the 3 dailys left.
Zandalar Tribe – 11429/21000 – I might go see if i can solo the mobs in there for coins/bijou’s.
Timbermaw Hold – 1143/21000 – This is Slooooooooww….. Gave up a bit on this at revered.
Factions at Honored:
The League of Arathor – 2253/12000 – The Endless Grind….
Hydraxian Waterlords – 11296/12000 – LFM to MC – Must be over 70.
Steamwheedle Cartel – All 4 Factions Honored.
(Frenzyheart Tribe – Will switch to Frenzyheart once I get the protodrake from the Oracles)
Factions at Friendly:
Silverwing Sentinels – 3281/6000 – Anyone else hate WSG Rep Grind?
Explorers’ League – 4689/6000 – How do you get rep with these?
The Frostborn – 553/6000 – And these?
Darkmoon Faire 2115/6000 – Mission Impossible!
Factions at Neutral:
The Silver Covenant – 0/3000 – Not implemented in game yet as I know.
Magram Clan Centaur – 2136/3000 – Zzzzz Kill a zillion centaurs..
Ravenholdt – 5/3000
Shen’dralar – 660/3000
Thorium Brotherhood – 2090/3000
So 4 at Revered, 3(4) at Honored and 4 at Friendly equals 11.
So I guess I have to choose the easiest.
This is the order I plan to do them in:
1 – The Kalu’ak
2 – The Oracles
3 – Zandalar Tribe (if i can down the trash in ZG)
4 – Timbermaw Hold – Groan – can you say slow grind?
5 – Frenzyheart Tribe – Once I get the Green Proto-Drake from the Oracles.
6 – Scryers – I’m exalted Aldor at the moment, and I imagine Scryer Rep Items are really cheap right now, but You have a hard slog to get to exalted due to only being able to do 1 quest for some basilisk eyes.
That’s as far as I can predict right now – its a big old task now. Lets see what happens in the future and if any new factions appear sooner or later. I just don’t wanna get to 39 factions to exalted with nothing on the horizon!!
