WoWzers!
Hey people – oops its been ages since my last post so I better get on with letting you know what I’ve been up to in the World of Warcraft since my return.
Well Certain Death’s progression had been quick at the start – getting through most of ICC 10 and 25 (25 man suffering a bit due to problems getting 25 people on at once)
So we’ve mainly become a 10-man progressive raid group – running 2x 10 man raid groups.
Frost Wing and Shadow Fang raid groups progressions has been on par, we’re both on the lich king fight – at the same point – I’ve only been there for 1 night of tries on him – we were able to get to phase 2 both times, but not much farther beyond that. The transition being the main sticking point – that fight really doesn’t let any mistakes be gotten away with!
Other than that I’ve also been dabling a bit with Lord of the Rings Online – which with its much more relaxed play model has been really interesting for me. When I first tried the game on release back in 2007 I wasnt all that impressed to be honest – the graphics were a bit lame, the questing seemed all over the place, and there wasnt much content. Now 2 expansions later there is loads of content and my level 29 Elf Champion is coming along nicely!
Anyway – back to WoW! I’m loving the 4 frost emblems a day at the moment – trying to get that done every day so far – not far off my next piece of t10 – but not sure I really want any more – is the 4 piece bonus worth it? Bleh!
I’m looking forward to Cataclysm – we’re all at that “its been almost 2 years since the expac came out -when we getting something new!” place in the game where people start to quit for a short time before coming back for the expansion, and to be honest I’m not far off that myself – but playing LOTRO has been a refreshing break from the stress of playing WoW sometimes.
Our Guild Master was hacked yesterday, so lots of drama ensued. What the hackers seem to do once they get your account details is log in to your GM, log another character on another account – invite them into the guild and relinquish the guild to him. He then clears out the bank, logs back to your character an raises a ticket advising that his account was compromised and asking for the guild bank items back.
So with 2 lots of items from the bank he then gets double the profit. Thankfully everyone was on the ball and contacted blizzard before too much damage was done. We got all the items back and guild control was passed back to the GM.
Lessons to be learned: GET AN AUTHENTICATOR!
Turns out our GM’s son had been using his account on his pc which had a key logger on it.
Anyway – no harm done thankfully – Blizzard very quick to get everything sorted out asap.
So with any luck we should have Arthas down within a month, giving me plenty of time to chill out before cataclysm comes out!!
I’m eager to try out the new raid thats out this week also – should be fun!
