Hey guys!
Well the 25-man raiding is back in full swing and we went into TotC normal, cleared the place and still had time to run in and do the worthwhile bosses in VoA.
It was great to be back raiding properly again – I’ve really missed it actually – we had a blast in there.
As Class Leader, I had to make a decision about loot that upset me a little last night.
One of the bosses dropped the Justicebringer axe. This is a pretty major upgrade for me so i bid all my DKP for it and won. Our other ret-paladin wanted it and i out bid him – due to our dkp bidding rules. I then started getting whispers from him saying it wasn’t fair – he would have bid 1700 before me if he’d known…well the raid dkp rules are on the forums and he should have read them – he’s been in the guild long enough. So I made a decision and let him have the Axe.
Thankfully enough a noob in a rack was kind enough to drop this for me:
Archon Glaive
Two Hand Polearm
715-1074 Dmg Speed 3.50
(255.6 damage per second)
+128 Agility
+136 Stamina
(Yellow Socket) +20 Strength
Berserking Enchant
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 90.
Equip: Increases your attack power by 165.
Equip: Increases your armor penetration rating by 90.
Now this is a pretty sweet pole arm – but I have a small problem with it….How it looks.
Standing there in my t8.5 Kilt and with what effectively looks like a staff on my back – one of our rogues said “Hey Firelight looks like some sort of warlock with that dress and that staff on his back…”
Not impressed!! But I was thankful for the drop. Its nice to get new weapons – weapons and shoulders – always make me feel like I’ve gotten a nice big upgrade for some reason!
So tonight hopefully, if we have enough sign ups, we are going to see Onyxia! Wow its been a long time since I’ve been in there in a proper raid group. I’ve heard there are some new things to expect – like adds that spawn during the fight from the main tunnel (dragonkin – not whelps) But it will be interesting to see how we cope in there. I might dig up some fire-res gear – you never know!! I think I have a reasonable cape in my bank that might be useful. Whatever happens tonight I’m sure it will bring up some crazy memories for me from days long since passed when I was a holy paladin – many many moons ago.
I hope all of you are still having fun, and are loving Onyxia!

Hey guys’n'gals!
So Brewfest is upon us, and for some of you (?) that means one thing…
Violet Proto-Drake time….
Its taken a long time, and there have been moments when things have been bit touch and go – in-fact we all remember the Valentines day holiday farce with the stupid sweets in the bag….grrr!!
Things have still been a little slow recently in WoW, our 25-man team has suffered due to holidays, but I think things are back to normal this week – so posts here will be more frequent soon enough – Just don’t have much to write about at the moment.
Anyway Just a short post to pat myself on the back for getting my mount!
Here are some pics!

Hey peeps! Time for a quite update! I promised myself I’d get back into the flow of blogging again so here we go!
Rage have somehow managed to pull together a good enough 10-man team and have been going after Ulduar hard modes and even managed to clear all of the argent tournament in 10 man as well.
Apparently Anub’arak is a bit of a push over! I missed out on that raid but should be there tonight. The hardest encounter in there seems to be the horde champions fight. But the one time I’ve done that encounter – we got them down on the 2nd try – it seems that it can be a bit of a push over if you have people in the party who know what to do at the right time – or have someone barking orders at them!
Not really been in the game too much this week what with Aion taking up my time – I’m quite impressed I have to say – managed to get my Warrior to level 10 and picked up my wings – which is a cool feature – but as Firelight is going to be deleted in a couple weeks I’ve moved on to try the scout class – things seem a bit more fast paced compared to the warrior in the first few levels. Was grouped with a priest and a mage type last night – wow priests are really squishy in the game! Like even more so than in WoW! The word aggro magnet springs to mind as well!

Hey peeps!
With all the things going on in Warcraft at the mo I was eager to have a go at something different to see if I’d be able to forget about my guild worries.
So Aion started its open beta today and after a sketchy start with the logon servers trying to cope with “a small country trying to log on at once” myself and a couple of guildies got into the game and created our characters!
I’ve created an Asmodain Warrior called…..Firelight!! (didnt see that one coming did ya!)
I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far, there are a few little things that I’d like to change in the interface, but its nothing major really – just takes a little getting used to – for the most part everything is very warcraft! the layout of the screen, the way your character moves – its very familiar.
I’ve only managed the first 5 levels, and not wanting to go too far as we’re only in the beta right now so I still want it to be fun when the thing starts for real in a couple weeks.
Here are a few screen shots that I took on the fly just now! (still need to figure out what the equivalent to CTRL-Z is in game!)
Anyone else entered Aion for some pre-release fun??
