Naxxramas 10 man: First Impressions
Hey guys!
So the guild continued in Naxx last night and we had a fun time in there – it was interesting to see some new content at last in the form of a raid as apposed to heroics/5-mans.
The previous nights group had cleared the Spider wing, and a boss in the Plague wing. Leaving us with the Death Knight wing, the last 2 bosses in the Plague Wing and the abomination Wing.
We cleared the Plague wing and all of the DK wing as well.
Some of the bosses were cake, some required a bit more attention or focus. The unwashed fella for instance – that whole run around avoiding the poison things on the floor was kinda irritating.
Anyway we did well – and it’ll be nice to see how big a difference it is to do the 25 man version of the instance soon.
I got a new belt and the tier 7 shoulders – so I’m happy.
Thats 2/5 tier 7 for me! and only 10 badges away from the gloves. I’m struggling to find a decent libram. There is one from badge vendors which gives 173 haste, but it procs off judgement of command – which is kinda useless….means I’d have to do some seal twisting….more mana waste.
So I’m going to go for the one from the Grizzly Hills pvp. (cant remember the name off hand)

It’s not really that different on 25mans.
For faerlina you need to MC the mob instead of killing them.
For instructor same deal you gotta MC now instead of using orbs.
Once you clear patchwerk it’s easy sail from there =)
Difficulty wise it’s not really a big jump from 10man-25man.

I went for my first 25 man in there last night. Havent tryed the 10 man yet, but I must say it was cake. No real challenge at all. A bit disapointing, hope they make the next instance harder.
But as you say, its nice to see some new encounters anyway. Havent been in Naxx in Vanilla wow, so its ok.

What were the easiest bosses you faced? & which were the most complex?
& would you recomend starting with the spider wing? or maybe another?

I’ve only done the 2 wings so far.
Once I’ve done the other wings I’ll put together a more in-depth post about Naxx.

I can set a few comments on the spiderwing, the one we took last night.
As long as ppl know whats up with the debuff on the first, its cake. On the lady we missed the enrage, so he was enraged for about 20-30 sek. Not sure how long it holds, but we was me a priest and a druid on the tank. And we had np holding on her.
Last was easy as well. As long as you have the tank hotted just before her web spray you will be fine. The ones captured by the wall, take close to no dmg. I was on them, and was not more than a few FoL each.

Hey Firelight, what is a good weapon speed for ret now? Seeing as we have Martyr for pve now. What weapon speed should I get.

You guys should give The Obsidian Sanctum a shot. That place is a fun quick instance and its actually pretty easy too
. T7 gloves drop in there instead of having to buy em with badges. Depending on how difficult you want it to be, you can take out from 0-3 of the dragons before you fight the boss. We took out all 3 of the mini bosses (dragons) and it was cake, pretty much the difficulty of onyxia at lvl 70

Oh and just so you know, blizzard basically compensated for the “nerf” to seal of command by giving us a new glyph that increases the proc rate of SoC by 20%. I’m using it currently and I’ve been in the top 3 for damage and dps, and I only have 6 epics atm (3 crafted, 2 badge and 1 heroic drop). Btw, how are your stats looking lately?

It’s actually very disappointing going from the 10 man to the 25 man. It’s just too easy with the 10 man gear going into 25 (hell, our MT is still in pieces of t5/t6). My guild cleared at least 2 wings last night of 25 man with ease (to the point where it was pathetic) in less than 2 hours (It will probably go even quicker once everyone experiences the bosses and the server lag slows a bit).
Anyone else praying for content that’s actually a challenge? Pure dps fights are fun for comparing dps with others, but I miss fights like Vashj.
(Never noticed there was such a big WoW community on here, maybe I should consider joining x])
